Modernize is Luciérnaga Labs’ engagement model for companies with legacy systems, technical debt or disconnected platforms. We assess what exists, then improve it step by step (architecture, integrations, cloud migration, data platforms) so the business keeps running while the system changes. We work with clients in Colombia and, remotely, around the world.

How do you modernize without stopping the business?

Incrementally. We start with an assessment of the current system and its risks, agree priorities, and replace or improve it piece by piece behind stable interfaces. Rewrites from scratch are the exception, not the plan.

Can you work on a system you didn’t build?

Yes. Most modernization work starts with code someone else wrote. The assessment comes first, so the plan rests on what the system actually does.

Do you work with companies outside Colombia?

Yes. We work remotely with teams worldwide, in English or Spanish. We work on US Eastern/Central hours (UTC−5), with good overlap with the US West Coast, Latin America and European mornings.
